Your treasury is fine. Everything downstream of it is the problem.
The multisig does its job: the money is safe and the signers are the right people. What it cannot do is pay a contributor in Argentina, settle an audit invoice in euros, run a grant round of ninety disbursements, or hand a ledger to whoever writes the quarterly transparency report. Plaitr is the layer that does all of that, without changing who holds the keys.
Plaitr is not a bank. Fiat accounts and payment rails are provided by licensed partner institutions. On-chain balances sit in your own self-custodial Squads smart account on Solana.
What this looks like today, and what it looks like here.
The treasury cannot pay a fiat invoice
Auditors, legal counsel, conference venues and cloud providers invoice in dollars and euros. Getting there means a signer selling on an exchange account and wiring it in, which is the single most-questioned transaction in the whole organisation.
Fiat accounts on the same balance as the treasury
Named USD, EUR, GBP and AED accounts on local rails, funded from the same place your stablecoins sit. The audit invoice is paid by the organisation, from the organisation's account, with no individual's exchange account anywhere in the path.
Contributors are paid in whatever is easiest, not what they asked for
Some want stablecoin, some need local currency to pay rent. Without a rail for the second group, they either absorb an off-ramp cost themselves or get paid through a payment provider nobody has reconciled against the treasury.
Each contributor paid in what they asked for
The same payout run sends USDC on Base to one contributor and local currency to the next, across 90+ countries and 30+ currencies. Stablecoin payouts are gasless: Plaitr pays the network fee.
A grant round is a hundred manual transactions
Each disbursement is proposed, approved, sent and then recorded somewhere else. Nobody can answer what a given grantee has actually received without opening a block explorer.
A grant round as one run
Upload the cohort as a CSV or pay a saved group, with each line carrying its own amount, currency and rail. Signing thresholds sit in front of the run, and every line posts to the ledger as it settles.
Transparency reporting is archaeology
Writing the quarterly report means reconstructing intent for transfers that happened months ago, from addresses nobody labelled at the time.
The report is a query, not a reconstruction
Every disbursement is recorded at the moment of payment with the payee, the purpose, the rail, the applied rate and the signers who approved it. Export the period to Xero, QuickBooks, NetSuite or CSV.
The specifics.
| Custody | Your Squads smart account on Solana | Thresholds enforced by the contract, not by Plaitr. No admin override, no support path that moves funds without your signers, and any signer can export their key at any time. |
|---|---|---|
| Assets held | USDC, USDT, USD, EUR, GBP, AED | USDC on Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum and Solana; USDT on Tron and Solana. Fiat on local rails as named accounts. |
| Payout reach | 90+ countries, 30+ currencies | Coverage depends on the partner institution serving each market and is confirmed at onboarding rather than promised here. |
| Bulk disbursements | CSV or API | A grant cohort or contributor run goes out in one pass, behind the same signing thresholds as a single payment. |
| Multi-entity | Foundation and labs entity on one ledger | One dashboard, a shared master ledger and per-entity views, so each balance sheet stays its own. |
| Gas on stablecoin payouts | Paid by Plaitr | Gasless on every plan. Gas is not a cost you budget for or pass to a grantee. |
What Plaitr does not do.
Plaitr is software for moving and recording money. The list below is the boundary of that, written out here rather than discovered on a call.
- Plaitr is not a bank and does not provide FDIC insurance. Fiat accounts and rails come from licensed partner institutions.
- Plaitr is not an employer of record. It pays contributors; it does not employ them, file payroll taxes or issue local employment contracts.
- Plaitr does not provide on-chain governance, proposal tooling or voting. It is the finance layer downstream of whatever your governance decides.
- Plaitr does not do your bookkeeping, take tax positions, file returns or represent you in an audit. It produces a ledger your accountant does not have to rebuild.
- There is no yield or treasury product today. Plaitr pays no interest on an idle balance.

Send us a grant round and a contributor list.
Countries, currencies, who signs, and what the last transparency report cost you in hours. We will tell you which parts of that we cover today, and which we do not.
