The trading is the easy part. The close is not.
A fund and its management company, balances spread across venues and custody, LP subscriptions arriving in both dollars and stablecoins, expenses in three currencies — and a month-end that is a reconciliation project before it is a report. Plaitr is the operating account and the ledger underneath all of it, with the entities separated and the audit trail already written.
Plaitr is not a bank. Fiat accounts and payment rails are provided by licensed partner institutions. On-chain balances sit in your own self-custodial Squads smart account on Solana.
What this looks like today, and what it looks like here.
One login per entity, per venue, per bank
The fund, the management company and the trading entity each have their own accounts and their own exports, and consolidating them is somebody's recurring week.
Every entity on one dashboard, one ledger
A shared master ledger with per-entity views, so the fund and the management company stay separate on the balance sheet while the operations team works in one place.
Moving between fiat and stablecoin is a venue trip
Converting means routing through an exchange account that exists for trading, mixing operational flows with trading flows in the one place you least want them mixed.
Conversion on the company's own account
Stablecoins arrive at your account's own wallet address and convert against your own USD, EUR, GBP or AED balance at mid-market, with no spread folded into the rate and no venue in the path.
Who approved this is a Slack search
Authorisation lives in a thread, not in the transaction, which is exactly the control an auditor or an LP's diligence asks to see evidenced.
Authorisation recorded on the transaction
Signing thresholds are enforced by your smart account, and each payment carries the signers who approved it and the threshold in force at the time — which is the segregation-of-duties evidence, in the record rather than in a thread.
Expenses are invoiced in currencies you do not hold
Prime brokerage in dollars, legal in pounds, infrastructure in euros, admin in whatever the administrator bills in — each one a conversion somebody prices by hand.
Four currencies held, thirty to pay in
Named USD, EUR, GBP and AED accounts on local rails, with payout reach into 30+ more currencies and 90+ countries, all funded from the same balance.
The specifics.
| Multi-entity | One dashboard, shared ledger, per-entity views | Consolidate for operations, keep each entity's balance sheet its own. |
|---|---|---|
| Custody | Your Squads smart account on Solana | Thresholds enforced by the contract. Plaitr holds no funds and no keys, and cannot move money without your signers. |
| Audit trail | Signers and threshold on every payment | Recorded at the time of the transaction, with scoped read-only logins for administrators and auditors. |
| FX | Mid-market, no spread | The applied rate is disclosed before each transaction is submitted, and recorded with the entry. |
| Rails | ACH, wire, SEPA, Faster Payments, UAE local, IMPS | Plus USDC on four networks and USDT on Tron and Solana, in both directions, from the same balance. |
| Exports | Xero, QuickBooks, NetSuite, CSV | Reconciled as each transaction settles rather than assembled at period end. |
What Plaitr does not do.
Plaitr is software for moving and recording money. The list below is the boundary of that, written out here rather than discovered on a call.
- Plaitr is not a bank, not a broker, not a custodian of securities and not a prime broker. It is an operating account and a ledger.
- Plaitr is not a trading venue: there is no order book, no execution, no margin and no yield product.
- Plaitr does not provide fund administration, NAV calculation, LP reporting or capital-account statements, and does not replace your administrator.
- Plaitr does not do your bookkeeping, take tax positions, file returns or represent you in an audit.
- Plaitr does not connect to exchange or custody accounts to pull in balances held elsewhere. It records the money that moves through it.
Questions we get asked.
Walk us through your last close.
How many entities, how many exports, and how long the reconciliation took. We will tell you which of those steps stop existing and which ones stay with your administrator.
