Pricing.

The account is free to open, the payment rails are free to use, and FX runs at mid-market. What is left is passed through at cost and disclosed before you send. Anything we have not set yet says so on this page instead of carrying a number.

What costs what

  • Opening an accountFree

No setup fee. KYB and onboarding checks are included.

  • ACH in and outFree

No per-payment fee on incoming or outgoing ACH.

  • Domestic wires in and outFree

No sending or receiving fee from Plaitr.

  • International wires in and outFree

Correspondent banks on the SWIFT chain can still deduct their own lifting fees in transit, and the beneficiary bank may charge a credit fee. Neither is a Plaitr charge.

  • FX conversionMid-market, no hidden spread

Displayed rates are indicative mid-market rates refreshed in real time. The rate applied is disclosed before each transaction is submitted.

  • Stablecoin payouts (USDC, USDT)Network fee at cost + partner off-ramp fee

The blockchain network fee is passed through with nothing added. Where a payout converts into local currency, the partner off-ramp fee varies by corridor and partner and is disclosed with the rate before you confirm.

Custom-branded virtual and physical cards are launching soon. Interchange and any paid tiers will be announced closer to card launch.

What actually moves the cost

On a cross-border payment the fee is rarely the expensive part. The expensive part is the spread: the gap between the mid-market rate and the rate you are given. A 3% markup on $10,000 costs $300 even when the stated transfer fee is zero, and it never appears as a line item. That is why Plaitr converts at mid-market and shows the rate before you submit.

The same holds on stablecoin rails, in the other direction. The network fee is the smallest line, often cents. The cost that matters is the percentage charged where the payout converts into local currency. Compare a rail on its all-in landed amount, not on its headline fee.

Questions

Is there a monthly fee for a Plaitr account?
Opening an account is free, and Plaitr has not published a monthly fee or a minimum balance. Paid tiers will be announced closer to card launch. If your setup needs something outside the published list, that fee is quoted per account and disclosed to you before you commit.
How does Plaitr's FX pricing work?
Plaitr converts at the mid-market rate with no hidden spread, so the rate you see is the rate applied rather than a marked-up one. Displayed rates are indicative and refreshed in real time; the exact rate and any applicable fee are disclosed before each transaction is submitted.
What does a wire transfer cost on Plaitr?
Wires in and out are free, domestic and international. On international wires, correspondent banks in the SWIFT chain can still deduct lifting fees from the principal while it is in transit, and the beneficiary bank may add a credit charge. Neither of those is a Plaitr fee.
What do stablecoin payouts cost?
You pay the blockchain network fee at cost, which is cents on a low-fee chain, plus any partner off-ramp fee where the payout converts into local currency. That off-ramp fee varies by corridor and partner, and it is disclosed together with the rate before you confirm the payout.
When do Plaitr corporate cards launch, and what will they cost?
Custom-branded virtual and physical corporate cards are launching soon. They share one balance with the rest of the account and carry per-card spend controls. Interchange and any paid tiers will be announced closer to launch, so no card pricing is published today. Join the waitlist to be notified.
Are there volume discounts?
Nothing published. ACH and wires are already free and FX runs at mid-market, so there is little left to discount on the core rails. Where volume changes what a partner charges, for example on stablecoin off-ramps, pricing is quoted per account rather than set from a public tier table.

Plaitr is a financial technology company, not a bank. Banking services, custody and card issuing are delivered by licensed partner institutions. Product availability, pricing and service levels vary by country and may change without notice. Applicable fees and FX rates are disclosed to the customer before each transaction is submitted. Displayed FX rates are indicative mid-market rates sourced from public reference feeds and refreshed in real time. Nothing on this page is a quote, and it is not tax or legal advice.
